It all started with our own family.
When our son was born, writing a Will went from one of those things we'd get round to someday to something that really mattered. It made me realise just how important it is to protect your family properly.
Around the same time, Mum and Dad were planning their own Wills and LPAs. Seeing them get everything sorted made me want to help other families do the same.
So that's when I started Charles Massey. I help individuals, couples and families across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, usually around the kitchen table or on a video call, often in the evening once the kids are in bed.

I'm not your typical Will writer.
Hello, I'm Josh. Before this, I spent years as a Detective in the police. My job was to leave no stone unturned: ask the awkward questions, check everything twice, and keep going until the picture was complete.
I bring the same approach to Wills, LPAs and Trusts. Every family is different, so I take the time to really understand yours before putting pen to paper. If something could cause a problem down the line, I'll find it and we'll sort it together.
Whether your situation is nice and simple or a bit more involved, you'll get the same friendly hello and the same careful, honest work. And the level of trust you'd expect from an ex-Detective.
What you tell me stays between us.
A Will, an LPA or a Trust means talking about things most people keep to themselves: money, family, who gets what, and sometimes things that are a bit sensitive. That's a privilege, and I treat it like one.
Anything you share is kept strictly confidential and never shared with anyone outside the work we do together. If you'd like your finished documents kept safe somewhere too, secure document storage is available as an optional extra through a trusted partner. Just ask and I'll talk you through it.
