Charles Massey visits clients at home throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Greater London to prepare Wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney. We make time for your questions, and evening appointments are available because we know family life is busy and days get booked up.
How a home appointment works
A short call first
A relaxed phone call to hear what you need and make sure you know the fee before we meet.
We come to you
We visit at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends when the working week is already full. Most appointments take about an hour to an hour and a half.
Your Will to read
You receive a clear draft to read in your own time, with any changes needed to make it right for you.
Signing and witnessing
Once you're happy with the contents of your Will, we will guide you through the signing and witnessing procedure, so everything is completed properly.
Who home visits suit
- Clients with limited mobility, or who no longer drive.
- Couples making mirror Wills who would rather talk it through at their own kitchen table.
- Anyone whose paperwork, such as deeds, policies and pension statements, is at home, where it can be looked at properly.
- Families arranging a Will for a relative in a care home or hospital, where capacity and independence need careful handling.
- People who need an evening appointment once work and family life have filled the day.
Where we travel
St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Harpenden, Berkhamsted, Tring, Hitchin and Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire; Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Ampthill and Biggleswade in Bedfordshire; Cambridge, Ely, St Neots, Huntingdon and Royston in Cambridgeshire; and all Greater London boroughs. If you are just outside these areas, do ask, because we usually can.
What it costs
A home appointment costs no more than an online one: £175 for a single standard Will, £275 for a pair of standard mirror Wills and £295 for a single complex or trust Will. There is no travel charge within the areas above, and you will know the full fee before we begin.
